Anticancer drugs or chemotherapy drugs are
used to treat cancer by attacking the cancerous
cells and destroying their ability to reproduce. Femara is another name for a generic drug called
letrozol.
Femara is used for treating breast
cancer in postmenopausal women.
It
is an anticancer drugs and a form of hormonal
therapy known as an aromatase inhibitor, which works by lowering the estrogen
level produced in the body of women after menopause.
This
drug treats postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive or obscure
propelled breast malignancy that was advancing after anti-estrogen treatment or
initial level treatment metastatic breast cancer.
