Anticancer drugs or chemotherapy drugs are used to treat cancer by attacking the cancerous cells and destroying their ability to reproduce.  Femara is another name for a generic drug called letrozol. 
Femara is used for treating breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

It is an anticancer drugs and a form of hormonal therapy known as an aromatase inhibitor, which works by lowering the estrogen level produced in the body of women after menopause.

This drug treats postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive or obscure propelled breast malignancy that was advancing after anti-estrogen treatment or initial level treatment metastatic breast cancer.


Development in the field on cancer and its drugs has been done with the help of extensive research from time to time. Furthermore, cancer research journals by scientific journals like Bentham Science Publishers and Elsevier, has a pool of research articles on every aspect of cancer and its drugs. These journals benefit not only the common man with an inquisitive mind, or a newly-diagnosed cancer patient,but prove to be beneficial for researchersand scientists as well.
